Hi

You may notice that the Quick guide may take a little time to re-load
after a change to the Favorite channel input. Or when ya remove a
Favorite channel. This feature can be best used if you ignore the
spinning wheel.

You should find that you can continue using the guide while the loading
wheel is still spinning. This is helpful when you are making changes to
multiple channels. When I follow all my college football games, I don't
have the patience nor the time to wait for that loading wheel to stop.
So, I just go ahead with my next action. Btw, you can even make an
action like adding a channel or favorite and either hit Guide or back
and remove the overlay from yer screen. The Guide will perform yer last
task.

Cool. Huh?

Carl

Oh, before I forget. The Quick Guide can be accessed from anywhere. Just
like our search feature, the quick guide is always accessible from any
page we find ourselves on.

One note:
While in video mode you should not change channels using the Quick Guide
as it will cause our browser to default to our homepage.

But you can control another TV on the same Cable Box. I have two TVs.
One (my 19") I use exclusively for the internet and my 32" that I use
mainly for TV viewing. I can control both TVs using either Primetime or
the quick guide.

Two TVS one App...

Awesome!

Carl, I get the "Quick Guide" now, and it really is a great feature for
TV channel "favorites" links; that's accessible in both
on-line/Chrome-mode and TV-mode, where the cable or FiOS "favorites"
features are from TV mode, only, and are also rather cluncky to use.

I may have had the "Quick Guide" feature sooner than I thought (and this
may be helpful to others with the Revue): I thought that the "Quick
Guide" feature would be accessed from hitting the keyboard "menu" button
while in TV mode, and then hitting "Guide" to bring-up the "Quick
Guide." This just brings-up the cable or FiOS guide, but not the
"Primetime Quick Guide." However, just by chance I hit the separate,
keyboard "Guide" button (located on the upper left side of the
keyboard), and it's hitting this button that makes the "Quick Guide"
appear on the screen in any mode.

Hi Folks

There has been a recent update that adds another great feature to this
app. Now wherever you are you can input a movie in the search feature
and as usual access the Primetime app for the movie particulars. Before
ya only had a choice of Google Play, Amazon Instant Videos, Netflix, and
live TV among the Youtube and Spotlight sites.

But now they have added Amazon Prime. This feature is especially
important because Amazon Prime has been so hit or miss. Now if the movie
or TV show is available in Prime, it will be listed as free. Just like
w/all the other subscribed sites like Netflix. No more looking for the
lil green $0.00 icon.

And ya can narrow yer searches by using the check mark feature in this
new update.

Folks, I'm lovin' this...

As always, have fun!

Lemme know whatcha think. Don't forget to give some input as to what
future improvements you'd like to see.

Take Care

Carl, I discovered this update earlier today. I had already installed
the "prime Time" update but, as usual, the description of the update
when installing was so obscure that I had zero idea of what the update
was exactly.

"Prime Time" is a great app, and I use it all the time: it'd take
forever to check out each channel on a cable guide when looking for
movies. Generally, when I hear about (or see them listed on Rotten
Tomatoes or IMDB) a movie that sounds good, I check-out the rating on
the Flixster and IMDB apps, and then add it to the "Prime Time" app.
Then, it's easy to just click on a movie in the "Prime Time" to see if
/when it's playing somewhere on the internet or TV.

Maybe they'll add RedBox to the new feature; although I don't think
RedBox is ever going to even match Netflix in content.

Do you know if Amazon Prime allows HD for the Revue yet, or if the app
will be available? I'd probably sign-up for Amazon Prime if they do.

Hi Ed

So far, as concerns the Logitech Revue, I would not look forward to a V3
or upgrade similar to the GS7. If ya have more than one TV I would
suggest you use the Revue w/the TV you use for your main internet access
to websites and forums. I have a 19' which I use like a laptop. It sits
on my control desk for when I'm in reading or forum response mode.

The GS7 should be connected to your large screen HDTV. This will give ya
the best of both worlds. Then, if the Logitech Revue receives the update
in the future, well...That just broadens yer horizon.

Another thing; I use a great HDMI Splitter

that works w/all the GTV devices I've tried except that dang Vizio
Co-Star. But that may only have been because the Vizio killed my HDMI cord.

The great thing about this setup is that you can control the cable
box/DVR/TIVO from either TV.

The Logitech Revue is the best unit for web searches and typing e-mail &
in forums. The GS7 is the most stable of all the newer GTV devices to
get the upgrade. This should be the center of yer entertainment hub. And
remember, you can always add another K700 keyboard into the mix using
the Logitech Unifying Receiver.

It is up to you whatcha want...

Hi

Here are a few more tips for the Primetime Quick Guide.

Tapping the Guide key once brings up the quick guide. A 2nd tap before
the guide loads brings up the cable guide.

If you are using the guide often you can hit the tab key and remove the
channel list w/out losing access to the guide. This is a great feature
for when you are switching from three or more channels. I usually have
8-10 favorite channels that I like to use to switch between during the
commercials.

I noticed in other forums a lot of folks are complaining that the guide
doesn't have their entire channel lineup. Of course it doesn't. It's not
a mind reader. Ya have to personalize the dang thing.

The #1 point of confusion is the difference between using the TV Menu.
If you list yer Favorite Channels using the TV Menu, your favorite
channel will be accessible only from that menu and will NOT be added to
the Quick Guide or the Primetime app. However Editing the channel list
from here or in the Home Settings will change both the Guide & App. If
the channels fail to appear use the troubleshooting step mentioned below.

Troubleshooting:

Every once in a while a channel may disappear from the Quick Guide or
not show up after editing your channel list. Go to Primetime App, from
Options select personalization. Simply click on your e-mail address and
hit back.
